My stamp store is OPEN!

Published by Molly under Molly Stamps

My stamp store is OPEN! Normally at this time of night, I would be scrapping a page about the Dick Van Dyke show on Nick at Nite, but, because of this amazing occassion, I’ve had nothing on my brain but the crazy excitement of opening an online stamping business! I’m selling stamp sets that I’ve created!!! OMG!!! Well, I only have one set as of right now, but I’m currently working on an alphabet set and another 4×6 set! I have to say, I’m having a LOT of fun coming up with fun ideas about stamp sets, and also scrapping layouts about coming up with fun ideas about stamp sets! I scrap what I stamp, and stamp what I scrap! I’m in HEAVEN!!!

If you want to see my new site:

If you want to see my stamp set for sale:

If you want to see the gallery of stampspirations using my set:

Click away! I would write more, but I’ve got another layout burning a hole in my brain….I must scrap!

Kitchen Sinks EIGHT SET RELEASE

Published by Molly under Kitchen Sink Stamps

They are SOOOOO stamptastic! I’m actually creating a scrapbook page, right now, about the feelings of bliss that were created in me when I checked out the new sets at Kitchen Sink Stamps.

Steven is going to LOVE the new layouts I’m gonna create with her 3 step Baseball set. He adores baseball, and I adore making scrap pages about his adoration of baseball.

Time for me to go ink up!

It’s almost time!!

Published by Molly under Molly Stamps

Well I haven’t been writing, because I’ve been so extremely busy this past month. Not only have I been maintaining my 15 layouts per day (usually takes me about 2 hours), but I’ve also created my very first stamp set, and I’ve been preparing to open up my very own stamping store!! That’s right! Molly Stamps is almost here! And I MUST take a moment to thank Maria Colosimo of Kitchen Sink Stamps. Not only does Kitchen Sink Stamps have some of the coolest stamps out there (Have you seen her 3-step sets? They are stamperrificly creative and FUN TO USE!), but she is also one of the nicest, most helpful people I’ve met. She has helped me incredibly, answering all kinds of ridiculous questions on how to start up a stamping business. She has been most patient and most kind! THANKS MARIA!!!

Right now, I only have a placeholder at mollystamps.com, but check back soon because…

THE STORE WILL BE LAUNCHING ON MONDAY, JUNE 9!!!

Initially, I have one stamp set available, along with a clear acrylic block and some ink pads, but I have plans to release TWO MORE SETS in the coming months, and will also be releasing cool new products as well! How will I be able to do all of this? Well I also have the help of my scraptastic design team. Erika Martin and Susanna Boyd…two of the greatest scrappers and stampers to hit the scene have already been stamping with the set, and you’ll be able to get some ongoing inspirations from them. The work I’ve seen so far is SCRAPTABULOUS!

Color coordination

Published by Molly under Scrapbooking

i found a neat little web page that has CERTAINLY helped me in creating my scrapbook layouts. As many of my friends know, I am a HUGE fan of yellow. I use this color in a majority of my layouts. It is the color of wisdom (me), energy (me), and according to a 3rd chakra site I just ran into on accident, it helps you feel expressive and creative (me also)!!

But my dilemna is this: sometimes I need to create a layout without using the color yellow. And I am utterly weak in the areas of color coordination. Normally my scrubby is FANTASTIC at color coordination. I could ask him, what color goes with brown, he’ll immediately tell me a couple of colors (the only issue is that his mind works in the hexidecimal code chart, so he’ll say something like “FFF380″, and I have to translate it.

So long story short, here is my saving grace when my scrubby is off at work, and I’m alone with my layouts: It’s a color coordination charty thingy! Very fun to mess around with and get scrapspirations!

A two year old!

Published by Molly under Noble, Scrapbooking

Well yesterday was a big day over at the house of Russ Jones (co-creator of the Inside Scrapbooking movie and mockutv.com site)
His beautiful baby boy turned TWO!!!

Steven and I HAD to stop by, and we dropped off our gift (a toddler bed!).

Here’s the bed we purchased! I’ve already made a scrap page using the instruction manual for assembly, and journaling about seeing Steven, for the first time in my life, in an all out rage….very scary. He assembled it all the way, then realized he forgot the slats that go underneath the mattress. He then proceeded to call the bed a “Demon Crib”….I had to calmly inform him that it was a toddler bed, not a crib. I probably shouldn’t have said anything.

And here is young TWO YEAR OLD NOBLE JONES!! The sweetest, funnest, liveliest little tot I know! Leave it to Noble to find a “new” way to ‘get into bed’ LOL! Russ and Gayle have themselves a beauty!

Cut myself

Published by Molly under Scrapbooking

I was peeling a large butternut squash and somehow I managed to peel right up my wrist. So here is this large bracelet looking cut across my wrist. Steven came home from work last night, and when he saw the wound, he thought I had attempted to “slit my wrists”. LOL I asked him, “Why on earth would I take my life, you scraphead?” Well, HE thought that because he told me last night that I couldn’t spend money today on scrap supplies, that I thought my life was over. And he literally thought I was suicidal!

I reminded him that, first of all, I would NEVER take my own life. And then I went on to remind him that even though he TELLS me I can’t spend money on supplies, he doesn’t have the authority to prevent me from finishing a layout. If I NEED a stencil, I will BUY a stencil. That, my scrubby-hubby, is a SCRAPFACT!

My Steven…

Published by Molly under Scrapbooking

…is soooo helpful. When you live with a professional scrapaholic, like myself, you can sometimes feel like you are being put on the backburner for the “memories” of you that are taking priority. Sometimes “quality” time has to take a backseat to creating a scrap page about some previous “quality time”. It’s a vicious scrapcircle, but one that must be expected of the true artiste de scrapbooking. And Steven has integrated himself so magically into that circle.

Sometimes he will be open to staging quality time so that I can have a certain picture and create a certain memory. Like the time I asked him to partake in a renaissance fair as a jester, because I thought it would go well with a medieval layout I had in mind. Or the time I had him climb a 100 foot ocean cliff and took a picture of him jumping into the rough waters below because of a theme page I was working on, titled, “Leap of Faith”. And Steven is deathly afraid of heights….so it gives you an idea of his dedication to my craft.

And on those relaxing days, he is MORE than happy to sit by my side, on the couch, and enjoy our time spent together, while I peruse some old scrapbook layouts.

I’ve got some new scrap-buds!

Published by Molly under Iron Orchid Designs, Scrapbooking

Oh I so much love this wild and crazy, intertwined, network of papercrafting gal-pals! I have had the most exciting time over the past week getting to know Josie over at IOD! (Iron Orchid Designs)

Iron Orchid Designs

Josie is SOOOO crafty, it makes me just crazy! I’ve always said that the Scrap-fairies flew down from heaven and chose a small number of papercrafters to bless with not only amazing layout design skills, but also an impeccable artistic eye, color coordination, and the willingness to help others. And it looks like they used A LOT of fairy powder on the IOD clan.

If you want to see a scraptastic tutorial of Josie demonstrating painting techniques using clear paintables and alcohol inks, then CLICK HERE!!

Thank you Josie for making me feel like I can do this!!!
